GIEVA-UN ECOSOC PARTNERSHIP FORUM SIDE EVENT 2023 REPORT

Global Integrated Education Volunteers Association (GIEVA) was a participant of the 2023 UN ECOSOC Partnership Forum Side Event.

A two-day program was organized by the organization on the 30th and 31st of January, 2023.

On the 30thof January, the organization embarked on the hands-on activity of cleaning a selected dump site to create awareness, and on the 31st of January, a lecture to mobilize, and address key opinion leaders, and the youth to begin the journey of reinventing our cities was scheduled.

The Pilot Takeoff:

The pilot takeoff activity was held in Jos, Plateau State Nigeria on the 30th and 31st of January to mark the ECOSOC 2023 Partnership Forum Virtual Side-Event.

The key personnel at the event

Daniel Newton Obaka (BSc, MLS, Ph.D.), graduated from Indiana University, USA. Worked with the government in education-related services for over twenty-five years, developed blueprints for establishing resource and information centers for inclusive services in Nigerian universities and research institutes.
