History of GIEVA

The concept for Global Integrated Education Volunteers Association  emerged in 2005 and the organization was birth in January 2007. The Birth of the organization was as a result of the critical need to empower the present  and future generation of global youth for sustainable development.

The Principal Founder of GIEVA Dr Daniel Obaka was motivated to this because of his experience as a child from a very poor background.
His poor mother inspite of the limited finances she had did not deter to ensure a sound education was provided for her son.

Encouraged by his experience, Dr Obaka saw the need to empower Nigerian youths and also provide leadership training for them. In the quest of achieving this dream, he mobilized 16 (Sixteen) pioneer professionals and experts in education, health, environment, youth and social works, information & communication technology, legal, and management teamed up and registered the Association as a non-governmental organization (NGO), Nigeria.

•  ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT

The administration Department performs the following functions:

1. Provide day to day administration of the organization
2. Supervise the record and information on files of the organization
3. Guide the over- all conduct of staff of the organization
4. Coordinate and facilitate the working relationship of the organization’s partners
5. Identify and initiate MOUs with potential partner organizations for joint projects
6. Identify strategies for generation of funds to support the objective of the organization.
   
   

• EDUCATION & COMMUNICATIONS:

The Education and Communications Department performs the following functions:

1. Organize and supervise all educational advising activities of the organization
2. Coordinate and monitor SAT & ACT administration in Nigeria;
3. Plan and manage the registration of other international Examinations. (For example, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL)
4. Plan and execute the organization’s Volunteers Network Group (Choices Club)
